March will not go quietly, as a Pacific storm approaches and is expected to bring “widespread moderate to heavy precipitation” from late Friday night, March 29, into Monday, April 1, according to the National Weather Service.
Saturday, March 30 will bring the most rain, NWS predicts, with strong gusts into coastal areas around 35 to 40 miles per hour. Temperatures will be several degrees cooler than Friday’s.
There is a slight chance for thunderstorms Easter Sunday, with showers lingering into Monday.
The coastal areas could see around 1.5 inches of rain over the weekend, with strong southerly winds and choppy marine conditions expected Friday night and Saturday morning.
