BirdStock to close portions of La Jolla Boulevard Oct. 19

The third annual event raises money for Bird Rock Elementary School.

The third annual BirdStock Music Festival flies into Bird Rock Saturday, Oct. 19 and for the first time will include a street closure of La Jolla Boulevard so the festival can really spread its wings.

The closure of La Jolla Boulevard will be from Midway Street to Camino de la Costa from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., with the festival taking pace from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

BirdStock will feature live entertainment, including a kids-only stage, refreshments from local restaurants, family friendly activities, special offers from local shops and an artisan market.

Event proceeds support Bird Rock Elementary School.
