The Empress Hotel La Jolla is also dog-friendly, with a fee of $35 per night and a maximum weight of 50 pounds. Your furry friend will also receive a baggie of dog treats and a comfortable bed, so you can plan your stay for a while knowing your dog will be as relaxed as you are.
2. Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa
Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa offers – in addition to an expansive hacienda-style resort – many dog-friendly services. While you vacation among the 10 acres of lush gardens, saltwater pool and spa, your beloved pet is welcome to stay at Estancia La Jolla no matter their size, weight or breed for a $150 fee taken at registration.
There are also many pet-friendly packages available as add-ons, including grain-free Mutt Munchers peanut-butter treats from Muttropolis, beds and pet sitting or walking services. And the doggos are always welcome at Mustangs & Burros, one of Estancia’s collection of onsite restaurants and bars. While you savor your meal, your pet can enjoy their own from the Dog Menu, featuring grilled chicken or steak tartare, bacon and eggs, steamed rice and veggies and an assortment of organic treats.
3. Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines
Overlooking the 18th hole of the Torrey Pines Golf Course is Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines, with blufftop, panoramic views of the ocean that invite you to explore the area via hike or bike. Take in a game on one of the Hilton’s many sports courts, a meal with a view at Torreyana, their onsite restaurant offering breakfast, lunch and dinner and more.
Pets are welcome at Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines, which charges a $75 fee for your doggy companion and has a 75-pound weight maximum. Enjoy your casual, dog-friendly La Jolla retreat!
4. Holiday Inn Express & Suites La Jolla/Windansea
Holiday Inn Express & Suites La Jolla in the Windansea neighborhood is comfortable and convenient, offering ease as a home base for exploring La Jolla or heading to San Diego destinations beyond.
Several amenities beckon, including renovated rooms, a heated pool, free parking and breakfast bar. Bringing the pet? Holiday Inn Express & Suites has you covered, with no size or breed restrictions and a $75 one-time fee plus a $84.51 deposit.
5. La Jolla Shores Hotel
La Jolla Shores Hotel in The Shores recently launched its pet program, welcoming four-legged companions for the first time in history. Pups can now enjoy a laid-back oceanfront escape with spacious accommodations, pet-curated amenities, and even a gourmet Canine Cuisine menu at the Shores Restaurant, all for $150 per stay. Upon check in, dogs will be treated to a complimentary Wag Bag filled with signature dog bowls, stylish bandanas and waste bags for their stay.
6. La Valencia Hotel
Historic and posh, the iconic La Valencia Hotel overlooking The Cove is known for lending its sophisticated, comfortable and romantic vibe to The Village. Dine in style, celebrate a special occasion, or pop in for a casual meal all at the same storied place. The entire hotel is dog-friendly, with a “Bone Appetit” dog menu available on the outdoor patio.
Bringing your fur-baby to stay? La Valencia welcomes them, with a nightly pet fee of $50 per pet, maximum of two pets per room. For a more comprehensive experience, the nightly fee is waived with the hotel’s pet package, which includes a plush dog bed and bowls in your room, a $25 daily credit for the dog menu and a pink branded tennis ball.
7. The Lodge at Torrey Pines
Views for days and impeccable luxury? Look no further than The Lodge at Torrey Pines, which offers stunning architecture, an upscale day spa, top-tier service and more. Hike the adjacent Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve, play a round of golf and indulge in a meal at renowned restaurant A. R. Valentien.
And you won’t be the only one welcomed in style: The Lodge at Torrey Pines is dog-friendly, charging a one-time cleaning fee of $150 for a limit of one pet up to 50 pounds or two with a combined weight up to 75 pounds.
8. Orli La Jolla
Orli La Jolla is a relative newcomer to The Village but is long on boutique service. Orli offers a customizable travel experience, transformed from a 1910-era private residence into 13 guestrooms and suites with classic touches, modern amenities and more.
For a dog-friendly stay, choose the Orli La Jolla “The Dog Lover” upgrade, which includes Dorai food and water bowls, dog food, a plush dog bed and a San Diego-themed toy to bring home. Your pet will feel pampered, and so will you as you enjoy Orli’s lounge, library or courtyard under the olive trees, or take your four-legged traveling companion for a stroll one block to the beach.
9. Scripps Inn La Jolla Cove
Oceanfront views don’t really get closer than Scripps Inn La Jolla Cove, where 14 guest rooms await to soothe you to sleep listening to the waves. Just a short walk to The Village, museums and more, Scripps Inn serves people seeking relaxation, adventure or both.
Bringing your dog? No problem here; alert the front desk before your arrival. There will be a $150 non-refundable cleaning charge and pets are expected to be leashed and well-behaved outside their room.
