The Outsiders at the La Jolla Playhouse

Prepare for an emotional and thrilling ride as you’re thrust back into teenagehood’s dramatic highs and lows with the musical adaption of The Outsiders at the La Jolla Playhouse.


The musical is based on the classic novel by S.E. Hinton and the masterpiece that was Francis Ford Coppola’s motion picture adaptation. 


The story follows the conflicts of two rival gangs, the Greasers vs. Socials, and the young boys within them, trying to navigate life on the wrong side of the tracks. 


Come along for the ride as they face the life-changing struggles and the heaviness of the consequences, entering into their young adulthood and leaving their innocence behind them. 


Music and lyrics are by Justin Levine and American folk artist duo Jonathan Clay and Zach of the Jamestown Revival band.
