Scripps is another favorite beach break spot just south of Black’s. Scripps is easier to get to, with smaller surf on either side of the pier where you can catch both left and right-hand waves. This spot gives good protection from southwest winds that often affect nearby surf. Because of its sandbar, swells hold longer before closing out, so you can get a nice long ride.
