The one-day system will bring moderate, widespread rain to La Jolla and the larger San Diego region.

Rain is likely beginning overnight and into Tuesday, Oct 14, according to the National Weather Service.

A low pressure system moving southward along the West Coast will bring stronger onshore winds starting today, Oct 13 today into Tuesday night. This will contribute to a stronger onshore flow across Southern California, as well as brisk winds gusting through early afternoon Oct 14.

Surf will also increase for Oct 14, 3 to 5 feet, with occasional sets to 6 feet, producing a high rip current risk.

A small craft advisory will be in effect from 2 am to 5 pm Oct 14. 

There will be a gradual warming trend the remainder of the week.
