The best chance to see the dramatically high tide is Sunday morning, Jan 12; catch the lowest tides midafternoon Jan 12 and 13.
Get the cameras ready: “King” tides, marked by the extreme differences between the daily high and low tides, will make their first showing of the year with high tide at 6.1 feet Friday, Jan 10 at 5:43 am and low tide at -1 feet at 1:21 pm.
Saturday, Jan 11 will bring high tide at 6.3 feet at 6:33 am and low tide at -1.4 feet at 2:05 pm. On Sunday, Jan 12, high tide will be at 6.5 feet at 7:20 am and low tide at -1.5 feet at 2:45 pm. Monday, Jan 13, high tide will be at 6.5 feet at 8:03 am and low tide at -1.5 feet at 3:23 pm.

When the tide is high, if swells are also higher, waves may appear more theatrical, while at low tide, more of the sea floor and tidepools will be visible.
