High wind warning issued for coastal areas through Jan 8

The National Weather Service warns of possible damage due to winds.

A high wind warning is in effect from 4 pm Tuesday, Jan 7 through 2 pm Wednesday, Jan 8 in the coastal areas of San Diego County.

The National Weather Service is predicting northeast winds at 30 to 40 mph, with gusts to 65 mph expected.

Damaging winds could blow down trees and power lines, leading to power outages, NWS warned, adding traffic will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

NWS urges caution regarding falling debris and tree limbs.
