Dangerous swimming conditions expected this week

The National Weather Service has issued a beach hazards statement in effect from morning on Tuesday, July 16, through evening on Thursday, July 18 for increased risk of rip currents and dangerous swimming conditions.

Surf of 4 to 6 feet is expected, with sets up to 7 feet possible July 16 and 17. Dangerous rip currents are also expected.

NWS advises staying out of the water to avoid hazardous swimming conditions.
