The cooldown will begin Friday, April 10, bringing measurable showers late that night through Saturday, April 11 and more rain Sunday, April 12.
La Jolla weather will experience a respite from sunny and warm weather: a low pressure system will drop temperatures by about 10 degrees and bring on a rainy weekend, April 10-12.
The low pressure system from the northwest moving into La Jolla late Friday, April 10 will bring the first band of rain, according to the National Weather Service. Rainfall will extend into Saturday, April 11 and could range from half an inch to a full inch at the coast, with more inland.
A second low pressure system will extend showers and cooler temperatures through Sunday, April 12.
No hazardous marine conditions are expected.
Dry and warmer conditions are predicted starting Monday, April 13.
