The panga boats washed up Sept. 28 and 29.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection has seized two panga boats that washed up in La Jolla at different times over the weekend.
The first was reported to CBP Air and Marine Operations about 7 a.m. Sept. 28, according to CBP, near Marine Street. Marine interdiction agents responded to the scene where they located the abandoned panga; CBP seized the vessel.
Around 5:15 a.m. Sept. 29, a second abandoned panga boat on Windansea Beach near The Shack was reported to marine interdiction agents with CBP AMO; agents again responded and seized the vessel.
