The victim sustained minor injuries and was not transported to a hospital after the Oct 2 incident, according to San Diego Police.

A man wearing a Halloween mask stabbed another man in La Jolla Shores Oct 2. The suspect is in custody; the victim suffered minor injuries and did not require transport for medical aid, San Diego police Lt Bryan Brecht said.

The incident occurred about 7 pm Oct 2 on the beach near Kellogg Park, as the mask-wearing man attempted to scare people.

The victim confronted the suspect about his behavior and a fight ensued, Brecht said. The suspect stabbed the victim with a small pocketknife.

This appears to be an isolated incident, Brecht said.
