Bacteria levels exceed health standards according to San Diego County, and water contact should be avoided.
The San Diego County Department of Environmental Health and Quality has issued or continued water advisories Oct 22 for several beaches from La Jolla Shores south through Tourmaline Surf Park at the edge of La Jolla.
The affected beaches are
- La Jolla Shores at Camino Del Oro (starting 150 feet north of the restrooms)
- La Jolla Shores at Vallecitos
- La Jolla Shores at Avenida de la Playa
- La Jolla Cove Beach
- The Children’s Pool
- Tourmaline Surf Park
Bacteria levels exceed health standards, according to the advisories, and water contact should be avoided to prevent illness.
