Serious collision on La Jolla Boulevard sends one to hospital

The collision happened early Jan 3 between a motorcyclist and driver of a Toyota Camry. The motorcyclist sustained a fractured left femur.

A serious injury collision occurred between a motorcyclist and driver at 7:42 am Jan 3 at 7100 La Jolla Blvd., sending the motorcyclist to the hospital.

A 59-year-old male driving a 2019 Honda Civic northbound on La Jolla Boulevard made a left turn as the motorcyclist, 42 and riding a 2020 Triumph motorcycle northbound, attempted to pass the Civic on the left, according to information from San Diego police.

The motorcycle collided with the left rear quarter panel of the Civic. The motorcyclist sustained a fractured left femur and was transported by ambulance to a local

San Diego Police Department’s Traffic Division responded and is handling the investigation; anyone with information related to the incident is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers at (888) 580-8477.
