Playa del Norte and Windansea are cleared; a water advisory for La Jolla Cove remains in effect July 28.
The San Diego County Department of Environmental Health and Quality has lifted two of the three La Jolla water advisories it enacted last week; an advisory for La Jolla Cove Beach is still in effect as of July 28.
As of July 22, the county issued new water advisories for The Cove; Playa del Norte 150 feet south and 150 feet north of the storm drain; and Windanses Beach at Palomar Avenue and Neptune Place.
The Playa del Norte and Windansea advisories were lifted July 25.Â
Bacteria levels may exceed health standards at all three locations. Beach users are urged to avoid contact with ocean waters in the advisory areas.
