La Jolla rollover crash sends driver to the hospital

The cause of the crash remains unknown, though alcohol and drugs have been ruled out. An elderly woman was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of a car that flipped over during a collision in The Village Jan 12 sustained minor injuries.

The crash happened about 1:29 pm on Girard Avenue at the Torrey Pines Toad intersection, between a Hyundai SUV and a Honda sedan.

The Honda sedan flipped over; its driver is a woman 70 to 80 years old who was transported to Sharp Memorial Hospital for minor injuries, according to San Diego Police.

Details about her injuries and current condition are not available.

The reason for the crash is unknown, though police said alcohol and drugs were not involved.
