Car crashes into Ark Antiques on Girard in La Jolla, no injuries

The driver appeared to have mistaken the gas pedal for the break while parking, according to police. No structural damage occurred.

A Mercedes-Benz E 350 wagon crashed into Ark Antiques at 7620 Girard Ave in La Jolla June 18, though no one was hurt.

The driver appeared to mistake the gas pedal for the brake pedal while parking in front of the store, according to San Diego police Lt John White.

The car then ran over the curb and crashed into the plate glass window.

No structural damage to the building occurred, White said; the only damage was to the window.

No further details were immediately available.
