A car collision around 10 a.m. June 18 at CVS on Eads Avenue resulted in pedestrian and driver injuries, along with property damage to the vehicle and nearby building.
An elderly woman driving a Tesla entered the CVS parking lot from Eads and drove into a pedestrian, causing minor injuries. The driver then continued straight across Bishops Lane into the southwest side of the BevMo building at 844 Pearl Street.
The Tesla’s airbags deployed; both driver and pedestrian were loaded into separate ambulances to be treated for their minor injuries.
Investigators at the scene were still gathering information on whether the driver entered the CVS lot the wrong way across the exit lane.
It is not yet known what caused the accident.
