The San Diego County Department of Environmental Health and Quality has issued a water advisory for La Jolla Shores at Avenida de la Playa March 19.
Bacteria levels exceed health standards, according to the advisories, and water contact should be avoided to prevent illness.
This advisory is in addition to the ongoing advisories for bacteria at La Jolla Cove (since January 2026) and The Children’s Pool (since 1997).
