Via del Norte mini park closed through Friday, May 16

The Via del Norte mini park (Via del Norte and La Jolla Hermosa Avenue) playground is closed off this week for repairs; city of San Diego crews plan to reopen it Friday, May 16.

The grassy areas next to the La Jolla United Methodist Church Nursery School remain open for public use.

The city’s playground crew patched up areas of the “pour-n-play,” a rubbery ground substance, May 12, according to city spokesperson Benny Cartwright. The product needs a minimum of 24 hours to set and dry, but the city will allow for more time due to gray, cooler weather.
