The closure is part of an ongoing project.
A closure of a block of Coast Boulevard from Coast South Boulevard to Prospect Street is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19.
Signage indicating the closure and no-parking zones have been posted.
The closure appears to be related to a Capital Improvement Project taking place at various times in various city of San Diego neighborhoods to sewer mains.Â
The project consists of replacing approximately 1.27 miles of existing 6, 8, 10, and 12-inch vitrified clay, cast iron, concrete and polyvinyl chloride sewer mains, according to the project website.Â
Replacement is proposed for all service laterals that connect to the sewer main; new cleanouts will be installed at the property line for any laterals that do not already have existing cleanouts.
Check sandiego.gov/projectfinder for more information about this project or other city projects throughout San Diego.
