The largest La Jolla crowd in a string of nationwide protests against the administration crowded the Girard Avenue and Pearl Street intersection March 28.
By car and by foot, about one thousand protesters gathered at the intersection of Girard Avenue and Pearl Street in La Jolla March 28 for local participation in the third “No Kings” protest since June.
It’s the fourth such nationwide protest against the current administration, along with a protest against ICE held in January.
The March 28 iteration saw signs being waved out of cars and people crossing the intersection, waving and chanting with a largely positive response from passersby.
With signs declaring “dissent is patriotic,” “USA is better than this,” “honk for democracy” and more, the La Jolla crowd was the largest community showing among the recent protests.
