Caltrans will close three of the four lanes to conduct bridge work.
Three of four lanes on northbound Interstate 5 at Gilman Drive will be closed from 7 pm Friday, Feb 20 through 11 am Saturday, Feb 21.
The Caltrans I-5 Asset Management Project team will enact the closure to conduct bridge work.
Northbound drivers on I-5 can take alternate routes including State Route 163 and Interstate 8 to connect to Interstate 805 and I-5.
The westbound SR-52 connector to northbound I-5 will also be closed to limit traffic approaching the closure.
Residents near Gilman and La Jolla Colony drives should anticipate construction noise and lighting during the closure.
No disruption to bus service to La Jolla and University Town Center is expected.Â
The work schedule is subject to change due to weather, traffic incidents or other construction considerations.
