Check the list below for the latest road closures and tow zones ahead of the 69th annual La Jolla Christmas Parade & Holiday Festival.
Headed into The Village of La Jolla this Sunday, Dec 7? You won’t be alone, as the roads will also bring in thousands of participants and attendees to the 69th annual La Jolla Christmas Parade & Holiday Festival. And along with traffic, several blocks will be closed to vehicles for the parade.
Closures and/or no-parking zones will be in effect all day Dec 7 for the following streets:
- Ivanhoe Avenue from Ivanhoe Avenue East to Torrey Pines Road.
- Girard Avenue from Torrey Pines Road to Prospect Street.
- Kline Street from Ivanhoe Avenue to Fay Avenue.
- Herschel Avenue from Torrey Pines to Silverado Street.
- Wall Street from Girard east to the first alley.
- Prospect Street from Girard to La Jolla Boulevard.
- Draper Avenue from Silverado to Kline.
Themed ‘There’s No Place Like Home (for the Holidays),’ the parade begins as usual at 1:30 pm along Girard Avenue at Kline Street, rolling north before turning west on Prospect Street and ending at the La Jolla Recreation Center.
The Holiday Festival will be open at 11:30 am along Wall Street, with Santa visits, interactive activities for all and more. The La Jolla Recreation Center will have activities at the parade’s conclusion.
