The work will take place intermittently over the next few weeks, a city spokesperson says, though the road will remain open.
City of San Diego crews are working today on a type of slurry seal resurfacing on Girard Avenue between Torrey Pines Road and Pearl Street. The road remains open, though certain lanes are closed.

The work entails a few phased steps, according to city spokesperson Anthony Santacroce. The work will end with roadway restriping.
Traffic will not be impacted as the work will be performed intermittently over the next few weeks, Santacroce said.Â
