Enhance La Jolla is now seeking nominations for board membership for a three-year term beginning Thursday, Oct. 17.
Enhance La Jolla is a nonprofit established in 2019 by the La Jolla Community Foundation to manage the Maintenance Assessment District, or MAD, for The Village, taking on landscape maintenance, street and sidewalk cleaning, litter and graffiti abatement and additional trash collection.
Property owners within the MAD can nominate a board member by visiting the website enhancelajolla.org and clicking on “Call for Nominations 2024 Board Elections” or by mail to Enhance La Jolla, 1131 Wall St., La Jolla, CA 92037.
Four three-year term seats are available: one for a board member of LJCF; two for property owners (nonprofit, residential or commercial) or their representatives paying into the MAD; and one for a representative “the La Jolla community at large with an interest in [La Jolla’s] wellbeing.”
Nominations must be received by 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 7. Voting will take place from Thursday, Oct. 10 through noon on Wednesday, Oct. 16 at the website above or via mail.
Election results will be announced at the Annual Meeting at 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17. Notices will be sent to all eligible members.
