More than 100 restaurants from Oceanside to Chula Vista will offer special multi-course menus Sept.
San Diego Restaurant Week is back for its usual fall spread, and seven La Jolla eateries are joining in. Choose your own culinary adventure from Sunday, Sept. 22 through Sunday, Sept. 29, trying out a new item or old favorite from one of the local restaurants below.
1. Beeside Balcony
Beeside Balcony, at 1025 Prospect St. Suite 250, is offering a three-course lunch for $30 and a three-course dinner for $60.
First course choices for both include artichoke hummus, an arugula & beet salad, meatballs and octopus ceviche; the dinner menu will also offer a Caesar salad.
Lunch choices are rockfish tacos, tofu quinoa, the Beeside burger, grilled feta cheese, fish & frites or a gyro.
Dinner choices are a fjord salmon, tofu quinoa, a bolognese, roasted chicken, Denver steak or pork osso bucco.
Dessert options for both meals are churros, crème brûlée and a lemon tart.
2. Brockton Villa
Brockton Villa, at 1235 Coast Blvd., will be offering a two-course lunch for $30: a main dish and either starter or dessert.
Starter options include a cup of chowder, spinach artichoke dip and pear & apple salad.
For mains, select from a grilled salmon BLT, a burger, baja tacos, a caprese sandwich, a Mediterranean chop or honey & walnut shrimp salad or a breakfast burrito.
Dessert options are the dessert “Coast Toast,” flourless dark chocolate torte, and fruit bowl.
The restaurant will also offer a three-course dinner for $55.
Choose a starter from a cup of chowder, crab cakes, Margherita flatbread, and pear & apple salad.
Entree choices are salmon puttanesca, house braised short rib, Mediterranean linguine, chimichurri hanger steak, and lobster campanelle.
Dessert options are dessert “Coast Toast,” flourless dark chocolate torte, and chocolate chipotle bread pudding.
3. Duke’s La Jolla
Duke’s La Jolla at 1216 Prospect St. is offering their signature Hawaiian fare with seafood dishes for a $40 lunch and $60 dinner. Full menus were not available by this posting but click here for the latest information.
4. George’s at the Cove
George’s at the Cove, 1250 Prospect St., is offering a two-course lunch and three-course dinner.
Lunch is $30 and includes a choice of an appetizer and entrée or an entrée and dessert.
Appetizer options include chips with guacamole and salsa, parmesan herb fries, George’s famous soup, french onion focaccia bread and salmon tartare.
Entrees offered are blackened local fish tacos, confit local tuna salad sandwich, a fried chicken sandwich and honey braised lamb.
Dinner is $60 and includes an appetizer, entrée, and dessert.
Appetizer choices are roasted beets, a salmon tartare, classic Caesar salad, charred snap peas, chips with guacamole and salsa, parmesan herb fries, George’s famous soup or french onion focaccia bread.
Entree options include Wild Isles salmon, spice crusted rare yellowtail, Jidori airline chicken, duck leg confit, mushroom bolognese, linguini and roasted cauliflower.
The dessert choices for both meals are dark chocolate mousse, espresso crème brûlée and sticky toffee pudding cake.
Alternative menu items are offered at additional charge.
5. Puesto
Puesto La Jolla, at 1026 Wall St., is offering a two-course lunch for $25 including chips and one of three guacamole options (classic, Puesto Perfect, or nogada) and two of nine taco options (such as tamarindo shrimp, pozole, mushroom and more).
Puesto is also offering a three-course dinner for $35 that includes the above options plus the choice of passionfruit & mango shrimp ceviche or ceviche verde.
6. Sea & Sky
Sea & Sky at 7955 La Jolla Shores Drive is offering a $55 dinner that includes one glass of wine and a shareable hummus plate, plus a choice of entree from grilled chicken chopped salad, grain bowl, fish tacos or chicken sandwich.
A $35 lunch menu is also available.
7. The Grill at Torrey Pines
The Grill at Torrey Pines at 11480 N Torrey Pines Rd. is offering a three-course dinner menu for $50.
Choose from two appetizers: a candied bacon and smoked kale salad or Roma tomato soup.
Entree choices include a chimney-roasted half chicken, wood-grilled “Cardiff Crack” and oak-smoked market vegetables.
Dessert is chocolate layer cake.
