Icaria is set to bring eastern Mediterranean cuisine to One Alexandria Square, emboldening local offerings from an acclaimed team.
Known for top tastes and a penchant for community elevation, the acclaimed team behind La Jolla standouts Marisi and Puesto has its sights set on a new Mediterranean concept: Icaria.
Opening at One Alexandria Square in La Jolla this summer, Icaria is an ambitious project inspired by the eponymous Greek island, one of the world’s original Blue Zones. Icaria will blend clean, vibrant flavors with a Middle Eastern influence.
The restaurant is being designed by New York-based Rockwell Group, the architecture and design firm behind Din Tai Fung, Nobu hotels and restaurants, countless Broadway theatrical sets and more.
The Puesto/Marisi team envision Icaria as a fine dining destination, including wine and cooking classes, fermentation workshops and educational programming that center Icaria as a local culinary and cultural hub near the Torrey Pines Golf Course.
