The menu blends Italian tradition and California abundance with new dishes designed to match the sunny weather.
As the air heats up and sunset is delayed, Marisi on Wall Street in La Jolla aims to keep diners coming to its Italian garden patio with a refreshed summer menu composed of equal parts Italian tradition and California abundance.
New menu items include agnolotti with king crab, corn and rosé vinegar; bluefin tuna heirloom cherry tomato salad; burrata with roasted stone fruit; maitake mushrooms, prosciutto di San Daniele paired with macerated figs and more.
New summer cocktails, crafted by Vice President of Bar & Spirits Beau du Bois, include the “Ferrari,” a blend of Campari, amaro, sweet vermouth and house-made cola and the “Mango Negroni,” featuring gin, Ronomato Americano, Bordiga Bianco and clarified mango.
Wine director Chris Plaia has also created a summer seasonal pairing with the Etna Bianco Gamma, a volcanic white from Sicily.
Marisi is open for dinner Sundays from 4:30 to 9 pm; Mondays through Thursdays from 5 -to 9 pm; and Fridays and Saturdays from 4:30 to 10 pm.
Brunch is served weekends 10 am to 2:30 pm.
