Chef de cuisine Derek Dupree’s curated menu is available Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday nights and is meant for casual spontaneity.

La Jolla restaurant legend The Marine Room, known for its status as a special occasion spot where elegant dining meets dramatic waves, is now offering a Late Night Menu aimed at those who want to experience the icon beyond a birthday, anniversary or proposal.

Chef de cuisine Derek Dupree has curated the menu to welcome guests looking for a midweek date night, spontaneous evening or a casual after-work dinner, available Sundays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 7:30 to 9 pm.

Main courses include beef cheek ragu with pappardelle and thyme breadcrumbs; and local bluefin tataki with green onion chermoula, carrot ginger puree, pickled cucumber and sesame aioli.

Desserts include a chocolate pistachio crunch car with pistachio mousse, toasted rice and cocoa crumble; cocktails include the “Late Night Wake Up” with Old Forester, Kahlua, espresso and orange bitters and the “Late Night Spell” with Grey Goose and green apple.

A special wine selection is also available and guests are welcome to order from the full menu.
