Nearly a dozen La Jolla-based chefs and eateries are preparing to serve their best at the third annual local celebration of cuisine.
The third annual Del Mar Wine & Food Festival will include nearly a dozen La Jolla restaurants and chefs when it arrives Sept 13-14 at the Surf Sports Park in Del Mar. The festival will also host special events from Sept 10 through 12 throughout San Diego, including one in La Jolla.
In the first two years, the festival has raised $75,000 for partner Feeding San Diego, which offers hunger relief and food rescue services.
During the culminating Grand Tasting event, the following La Jolla spots will be participating: Beeside Balcony; Deeply Nourished; Duke’s La Jolla; Estancia La Jolla; Marisi; Nine-Ten; Puesto; Sea & Sky; The Lodge at Torrey Pines; The Marine Room; and Urban Kitchen Group.
The festival will host a Kosta Browne Wine Dinner with Chefs Jet Tila, Benito Molina, Drew Deckman, Mawa McQueen & Katie Weber at 6 pm Friday, Sept 12, at Estancia La Jolla Hotel, during which Estancia La Jolla’s Executive Chef Katie Weber and others will present a wine-paired dinner.
