Looking for a signature La Jolla event that will make waves of memories? The Marine Room has launched its iconic High Tide Dinner Series for summer 2025, led for the first time by newly appointed Executive Chef Ananda Bareño.
This seasonal event offers guests a rare opportunity to dine just feet from the surf as waves crash dramatically against the restaurant’s windows – an upscale La Jolla dinner that combines the best of indoors and outdoors.

The 2025 series will next occur from July 22 through 24 and August 20 through 22, timed with the full moon and La Jolla’s highest tides of the season.
Bareño has created two distinct dinner experiences that highlight her coastal, seasonal approach:
The Rising Tide dinners offer an early dinner from 4:30 to 5:30 pm to witness the incoming tides while enjoying an à la carte menu or a three-course menu priced at $125 per person.
The High Tide dinners begin at 7 pm, with crashing waves accompanying a curated four-course dinner, sunset toast and live music for $165 per person. A Chef’s Table upgrade, which includes a sommelier-paired wine experience, additional courses, a visit from the chef and a take-home gift, is available for $250 per person.
