Looking for new breakfast eats to enliven your summer? ZENTRL has a new menu to start your day, along with events and late hours for all-day dining.
Brunch lovers in La Jolla have more to try with the debut of ZENTRL Kitchen + Bar’s new breakfast menu, a summer entrant served from 8 am to 2 pm daily.
The menu features savory and sweet combinations of flavors with expected favorites like traditional chilaquiles and acai bowls alongside creative innovations like matcha pancakes, Umami Benny and more.
It’s a sophisticated evolution of all that people love, said Daniel Fastlicht, whose family started the adjacent movie theater THE LOT in 2015.
ZENTRL will also be reintroducing a breakfast buffet in the future, he said. “We’re going back to the basics while being able to continue to elevate the food and the quality of the service.”
The evolution at ZENTRL continues past breakfast, with “Summer Sessions” launched for Saturday nights, during which DJs entertain while a menu of “fun bites,” special drinks and later hours give the community an upbeat environment, Fastlicht said.
Another event ZENTRL is excited to offer is the imminent return of Taco Tuesdays, with endless tacos for one low price, he said.
And ZENTRL and THE LOT loyalty members will continue to receive loyalty discounts, like special food pricing on Wednesdays.
“We’re an easy place where people can come and not necessarily attach their plan to a movie,” Fastlicht said.
The plans are all part of ZENTRL’s constant growth and aim to continue to evolve and offer better and better quality and service.
“It’s been almost a year since we rebranded,” Fastlicht said, “It’s been good; we’ve gotten a lot more foot traffic.”
ZENTRL “continues building momentum forward,” he said.
