Puesto donated $50,000 to Scripps Health April 25, part of its ongoing “Puesto Cares” program to fund local organizations.
The partnership with Scripps Cancer Care began in April 2023, as cancer (specifically lymphoma) has affected many Puesto team members and family members.
Since the partnership began, Puesto has catered lunch for about 1,200 Scripps employees, distributed Puesto bowls to patients, caretakers and employees at Scripps’ La Jolla and Hillcrest Cancer Centers and collaborated on a vegetable mole verde taco that is available at all San Diego locations.
The $50,000 is from a portion of Puesto menu proceeds.
“We are blessed to have such a world class organization like Scripps Health in our community, and are proud to support them,” Puesto co-founder Eric Adler said.
