Migrant boat seized in La Jolla

U.S. Customs and Border Patrol personnel seized a boat on Marine Street Beach today; it’s the second such seizure in less than a week.

Joint Harbor Operations Center notified CBP law enforcement personnel of a maritime migrant incident involving a pleasure craft just before 10 a.m. Jan 30.

A search for the vessel’s occupants is underway.

The community can assist U.S. Customs and Border Protection and its law enforcement partners by reporting information or suspicious activity to the Joint Harbor Operations Center at (800) 854-9834, extension 1.
