A car parked at the Mount Soledad Veterans Memorial in La Jolla went over the sidewalk and down into the brush, necessitating emergency response and a tow truck.
The incident occurred at 3:35 p.m. April 23, according to Newsreel Media, when a female driver accidentally drove the Mercedes sedan across the grass at the southeast side of the park into the steep hillside.
The car was stopped about 25 feet down by thick brush.
San Diego Fire-Rescue personnel responded, assisting the driver and passenger away from the car onto the grass; no rescue was needed.
A tow truck guided the car back onto the road with a large cable.
The cause is not known at this time.
