An empty boat washed ashore at Windansea Beach the morning of April 23; officials have deemed further response unnecessary.
San Diego lifeguards responded to the scene to gather information for the U.S. Coast Guard, according to San Diego spokesperson Jose Ysea. There were no people when lifeguards arrived.
Coast Guard officials did not respond after receiving the information, according to spokesperson Edward Wargo, as further action was not needed.
A contractor was called to salvage and remove the vessel.
