Fans of golf and those looking for an iconic La Jolla event unite for good times as par as the eye can see.Â
Whether you’re in it for the golf, the views or the fun, tens of thousands will converge on the Torrey Pines Golf Course Wednesday through Saturday, Jan 22-25 for the Farmers Insurance Open.
The tournament, part of the PGA Tour, is organized by The Century Club of San Diego and will welcome champions and San Diego locals to play the field.
The Farmers Insurance Open, originally established in 1952 as the San Diego Open and moving to Torrey Pines Golf Course in 1968, has been sponsored by Farmers since 2010.
Defending Farmers Insurance Open champion Matthieu Pavon will return, along with two-time Farmers Insurance Open winners Jason Day and Brant Snedeker, 2022 champion Luke List, 2023 champion Max Homa and more.
Other notable players include Zach Johnson, Hideki Matsuyama, Collin Morikawa and Justin Rose.
Of the San Diego-linked players committed, locals can look forward to watching Charley Hoffman, a four-time PGA Tour winner who has played in La Jolla, and Michael Kim of Torrey Pines High School.
The field will be finalized Friday, Jan. 17.
In addition to the match, attendees will have access to upgraded experiences in sponsored fan villages, zones and clubs offering food, beverage and other attractions.Â
Tickets are available at farmersinsuranceopen.com.
The Lodge at Torrey Pines, which overlooks the course, is also offering special room packages that include tournament tickets, breakfast credit and more.
