Despite heavy winds and player withdrawals, the PGA Tour contest carried on and Harris English prevailed.

Social butterflies and sports fans linked up at the Torrey Pines Golf Course Jan 22-25 for the Farmers Insurance Open. Despite high winds and player withdrawals affecting the field, the PGA Tour competition carried on, drawing thousands to La Jolla for golf and gatherings.

At its conclusion, the Farmers Insurance Open awarded Harris English, who shot a 1-over-par 73 on the South Course Jan 25, his fifth PGA Tour title and a $1,674,000 winner’s prize.

Harris English finished the tournament with an overall score of 8-under, beating out runner-up Sam Stevens by one stroke and earning English his fifth PGA Tour title and a $1,674,000 winner’s prize.

“I love this golf course when it plays really tough,” English said in press materials. “I just love US Open-type setups and Torrey Pines has always been one of my favorites.”

Beyond the field, fans and friends walked the courses, lined up for autographs and took in the views while enjoying refreshments at several tents before crowding around the 18th hole for the final shots.

Torrey Pines Golf Course is now preparing to host the 2025 Genesis Invitational Monday, Feb 10 to Sunday, Feb 16, a temporary relocation due to the Los Angeles wildfires.
