The Law Enforcement Torch Run raced through La Jolla today on its way to Long Beach.
The journey to benefit Special Olympics Southern California began this year in the morning May 28 in Chula Vista, with more than 300 law enforcement agencies and Special Olympics athletes carrying the Flame of Hope across seven Southern California counties, culminating Saturday, June 8 in Long Beach to launch the 2024 Special Olympics.
The Law Enforcement Torch Run is the largest public awareness vehicle and grassroots fundraiser for Special Olympics Southern California; the Southern California run is one of the leading programs in the world, raising $1.7 million in 2023.
