The historic hotel has appointed Lisa Price to its spa director role amid preparations for The Village’s first resort spa.
The historic, seaside La Valencia Hotel will have one more reason this summer to attract visitors: the Spa at La Valencia Hotel is anticipated to open.
The spa will serve as a wellness sanctuary for both hotel guests and the community, offering personalized holistic therapies.
Located in a three-story cottage dating back to 1904 at 1125 Coast Blvd, adjacent to the main hotel property, the Spa at La Valencia Hotel will feature six tranquil treatment rooms for services including facials, massages and body treatments, along with restorative practices such as sound healing, meditation and reiki.
La Valencia will also be able to extend treatments to in-room hotel guests and begin offering hotel-wide enhanced health and wellness programming.
The only resort spa in The Village, the Spa at La Valencia will take inspiration from its marine environment, blending coastal luxury with innovative therapies.
“The addition of the Spa at La Valencia is an exciting milestone in the Pink Lady’s nearly 100-year history,” said La Valencia Hotel General Manager Troy Longwith. “We look forward to both enhancing our guest’s wellness experience and offering a new sanctuary for our local neighbors to relax, retreat and reconnect.”
La Valencia Hotel has appointed Lisa Price as spa director, charged with elevating and expanding the resort’s wellness programming and cultivating the spa guest experience and service menus.
Price, a San Diego native, has worked at the Golden Door Spa and Inn at Rancho Santa Fe among other San Diego resort properties, including Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa.
At the Spa at La Valencia Hotel, Price intends “to create an exceptional retreat with therapies that blend timeless luxury with transformative wellness,” she said.
