The historic retirement community is renovating its kitchen, necessitating trailers, poles and wires for temporary kitchen areas in its main parking lot.
Trailers, poles and electric wires have popped up in the Casa de Mañana parking lot and adjacent property, all to enable a temporary kitchen space while the retirement’s main kitchen undergoes a complete renovation.
The original section of Casa de Mañana, deemed historic, is more than a century old.
“In order to deliver an elevated experience for our residents, we needed to create a new kitchen,” said Casa de Mañana Executive Director Marivel Johnson.
The renovations are expected to take about a year, during which Casa de Mañana is “committed to providing residents with quality dining options,” Johnson said. “We will share regular updates to the community about the process and when residents can expect to have their incredible ocean views unimpeded once again.”
