The annual automotive experience is gearing up for its return April 25 to 27, with road closures in The Village to accommodate the weekend of events.
La Jolla-based company vents.com Events.com announced April 17 it has acquired the La Jolla Concours d’Elegance, the annual automotive showcase that serves as a fundraiser for the La Jolla Historical Society.
The La Jolla Concours d’Elegance “will now have access to enhanced infrastructure and operational support,” according to a press release, including streamlined ticketing, sponsorship and marketing tools.
“The La Jolla Concours d’Elegance is a truly iconic event in the automotive world, and we are honored to help power its next chapter,” Events.com cofounder Mitch Thrower said in a statement.
The 2025 Concours will open with a VIP Soiree at 6 pm Friday, April 25 and continue with events both free and ticketed through Sunday, April 27. Most will take place at Scripps Park at La Jolla Cove, which will be closed – along with the northernmost portions of Girard Avenue and Coast Boulevard and adjacent streets – to the public for the duration of the event.
Portions of Prospect Street will also be closed for “Porsches & Power on Prospect,” a free event held from 5 to 9 pm Saturday, April 26.
