Cazadores Mexican Grill has applied for permits to open a La Jolla location of Cazadores Mexican Food at 1109 Wall St, in the former spot of Comedor Nishi.
This makes the number of Mexican food spots in The Village an even dozen.
A representative of Cazadores did not respond to requests for information; the eatery’s menu features traditional favorites like enchiladas, tamales and tacos with smoky chipotle and mole sauces and much more.
The opening of Cazadores will add to longtime sitdown Village Mexican icons Jose’s Courtroom and Verdes El Ranchero; intensely popular Puesto La Jolla, Taco Stand and La Corriente; relative newcomers La Jollita and Taco Time; taco shop staples Don Carlos, Raymundo’s Taco Shop and Rigoberto’s; and the incoming El Pueblo.
