Breakfast Republic to close La Jolla location March 9

The property owner bought out the brunch spot’s lease; the nearest location will now be the Pacific Beach Breakfast Republic on Mission Boulevard.

Wittily-named breakfast treats no more: Breakfast Republic is closing its La Jolla location on Pearl Street.

Breakfast Republic made the decision as part of a lease buyout from the property owner, the company said in a statement. The final day of operation in La Jolla will be Sunday, March 9.

“We are incredibly grateful to have served the La Jolla community and appreciate the loyalty of our guests,” said Johan Engman, Breakfast Republic founder. “While this location is closing, we invite everyone to continue enjoying our signature breakfast experience at the nearby Pacific Beach location.”
