La Jolla citizens scream for ice cream when it comes to Killer Whale Creamery! Owners Mike Harrison and Dillon Berkabile opened the creamery in the midst of the heat during summer 2024, a treat for all to enjoy. Killer Whale Creamery offers artisanal ice cream with 19 percent butterfat, and carry an abundance of dairy free, gluten free and vegan options.

The creamery is located in the heart of La Jolla where Buck’s Meat Market used to be. Harrison and Berkabile also own Blue Whale, directly across the street from Killer Whale Creamery, which inspired much of the shop. Similar to Blue Whale, Killer Whale sells a variety of merchandise and is open daily.

Killer Whale Creamery serves over ten flavors of ice cream, four being Blacks Beach Cherry, Killer Whale Cocoa and Vanilla, Surfside Strawberry and Honey Lavender Fields. This shop has incorporated a sense of home and locality into their flavors, a unique quality that many will enjoy.
