Torrey Pines Lodge Centennial Celebration

Visit the Torrey Pines Lodge for their centennial celebration. The one-story pueblo-style lodge is a major part of La Jolla’s history. It lies upon the original paved road that linked our northern California cities to La Jolla from 1923 to 1933 before North Torrey Pines Road opened.

The Lodge once served as a restaurant, snack bar, and gift shop to serve visitors coming and going. Today it is the reserves visitor center and museum.

The centennial celebration will include the following:

  • An old car parade
  • Presentations and proclamations by VIPs and elected officials
  • Tours of the historic lodge
  • Photographs, exhibits, and docents in costume
  • Ranger talks and guided nature walks
  • Activities for kids, including a sketching class
  • A ceremonial cake
  • And more!

The event is free!

Parking will be at the north and south beach lots, with vans transporting visitors to the top of the reserve, starting about 9:30 a.m.
