Birch Aquarium at Scripps hosts its 21-and-over Oceans at Night: Halloween, an after-hours party blending science and nightlife for one evening this October. Guests explore the aquarium after dark with interactive games, live music and drinks, all set against a Halloween backdrop.
The night debuts the aquarium’s new Living Light Experience, an interactive look at bioluminescent marine life. Guests can trigger the glow of bioluminescent plankton through movement and view the biofluorescence of corals and anemones under ultraviolet light. Costumes are encouraged for photo opportunities throughout the evening.
Tickets are $59.95 and go on sale September 17, separate from general admission; aquarium members save 20%. This is a 21+ event.
