Hosted by the Athenaeum Music & Arts Library, this free, 90-minute walking tour takes participants on an engaging journey through La Jolla’s streets to explore a selection of the 16 large-scale murals currently on display.
Led by expert guides, the tour highlights a curated mix of contemporary public artworks, each uniquely commissioned to bring energy, culture, and creativity to the village. From bold abstractions to thought-provoking installations, these murals—created by internationally recognized artists—transform everyday spaces into an open-air gallery of visual storytelling.

While the murals can be visited at any time, this guided experience provides deeper context and hidden details that make each work even more compelling.
Space is limited to 35 guests, and advance registration is required. Comfortable shoes are recommended, as participants will be strolling through La Jolla’s charming streets.
