The collaboration between Enhance La Jolla and the La Jolla Coastal Conservancy was executed on Aug 26, also National Dog Day.
La Jolla’s Coast Walk Trail is sporting two new dog waste stations, a collaboration between Enhance La Jolla and the La Jolla Coastal Conservancy.
The two new stations, installed Aug 26 in celebration of National Dog Day, are placed at the trailhead near The Cave Store off Cave Street and at the Park Row and Prospect Place trailhead.

Enhance La Jolla, formed to perform improvements and maintenance in The Village, bought, installed and will replenish the stations.
“We’re always excited to work with Enhance La Jolla,” said Brenda Fake, who heads up the La Jolla Coastal Conservancy, which was formed to carry out improvement projects along the shoreline from Coast Walk Trail south to Whale View Point.
The two organizations worked together on this long-awaited project, Fake said, which is much needed as dogs – with their humans – use Coast Walk Trail daily.
